Language and Culture in Global Perspective

The study of culture and language in a global context is critical in our world today. This course introduces humanistic questions, concepts, frameworks, global themes and analytical skills necessary for the study of languages, literatures, cinema and other media or cultural texts from global perspectives. (GLCS 210)

Cross-cultural and Linguistic Skills for Study Abroad

In preparation for studying abroad, this blended course of training workshops, class discussions and individual projects will help students develop the tools necessary for traveling, learning and interacting in another country and culture. (GLCS 280)
