Robin Barklis Instructional Associate | Political Science

Walker Hall 129
Robin Barklis has been teaching political theory, law, and comparative politics in various capacities at Linfield since 2016. His teaching and research interests are in contemporary political theory and philosophy, the history of ideas, and public law, with particular focusses on political identity, nationalism, transitional justice, truth and reconciliation, public memory, and philosophy of social science. His current research examines the relationship between public remembrance, belonging, and the pursuit of justice in societies grappling with enduring histories of large-scale or systematic injustice and atrocity. He coordinates Linfield's program in Law, Rights, and Justice, and directs the Linfield Law Society.
When not teaching or writing, Robin enjoys backpacking, mountaineering, running, and a wildly inefficient approach to cooking.
