Chris Starr
Chris Starr Student Teacher Supervisor

Potter Hall
Chris has taught 9-12 grade English and English Language Development classes in California and Oregon over the last 9 years. Prior to working as a full-time teacher he served as a substitute teacher for four years in all grade levels and subject areas, which has provided the opportunity to experience teaching from multiple levels. He has served as the ELD site coordinator and site testing coordinator for most of his career. He currently serves on the Oregon State EL Advisory Board. This past summer Chris finished the coursework and assessments to add a SPED endorsement in order to more completely support students of special populations. He believes that provided the right support and resources that all students can and often will find success regardless of what barriers they may need to hurdle.
