The Department of Education announced on Jan. 30, 2024, that 2024-25 FAFSA information would not be provided to colleges and universities until mid-March due to technical issues in the new FAFSA. This six-week delay impacted the time Linfield (and all other universities) had to process financial aid packages for students.
A second announcement from the Department of Education received in March shared that students’ ability to make corrections and updates to their 2024-25 FAFSA would be delayed until the first half of April, further delaying aid offers from being sent to students until corrections were processed.
