Katie Higinbotham is the Associate Director of the Writing Program and an instructor for the English Department. She earned her MFA from Western Washington University, where she won the Outstanding Graduate Writer Award for her multi-genre work in nonfiction and poetry. As a Linfield creative writing alumna, Katie enjoys working with the Writing Center staff, as well as student writers in Inquiry Seminar, creative writing and literature. She is also the assistant coach for Wildcat Cross Country. Her latest areas of interest include writing the natural world, writing from an athlete's perspective, and listening for stories of activism in music. Katie's creative work has appeared in The Offing, Otherwise Collective, Hobart and elsewhere.
