Hear from the Provost, the Registrar and the Office of Academic Advising. Find out about the Linfield Commitment. Learn more about the academic expectations, resources and support we have for your student.

Much of the learning at Linfield takes place outside of the classroom. Find out about some of the leadership opportunities for students. Learn about the ways that the university is finding creative ways to build community while keeping physical distancing.

Learn about the various affinity and orientation programs available for students who want to get a jump start on their Linfield experience. Find out more about what your students can expect to experience in their first few days at Linfield. Learn about programs (virtual and in person) to help parents and families get to know Linfield.

Linfield has long had a commitment to first generation college students. Linfield defines first generation as those students whose parents did not complete a bachelor's degree. Find out what challenges might be unique to that population and how Linfield plans to support those students through a program designed to help them navigate their first year at Linfield.

Linfield is a residential community. We believe there is great value in students learning to live together. Hear from the Dean of Students on what student can and should expect from their residence hall experience. Move in is just around the corner. Find out what your student should (and shouldn't) bring to campus. The team will field questions about how your family might best prepare for move in.

Get to know the Health, Wellness, and Counseling and Campus Public Safety teams at Linfield. They here help with your student’s health care, counseling, and safety needs as well as to provide opportunities for your student to learn how to navigate the challenges college may present in ways that help them stay healthy and engaged in school.

Hear from representatives from the McMinnville community. There are so many great places to dine, shop, enjoy a cup of coffee, and taste wine. Several of our panelists come to McMinnville as Linfield students and later returned to live and work in the city. Find out why they love McMinnville and why you should look forward to your visits.
After your students settle in to their new homes, join fellow Linfield parents for regional social hours! Grab a beverage of your choice and join us to meet other incoming Linfield parents who live near you. Share tips, answer each other’s questions, support each other as you transition to the role of college parent.
