Student Insurance Information

Health Insurance is required by Linfield College for all students. Coverage and charges for the medical insurance program are for six month periods so that eligible students are covered during school and vacations from the college. Fall Term coverage is for August 15, 2018- January 31, 2019 and Spring Term coverage is February 1, 2019- August 14, 2019. The medical insurance fee is required for all McMinnville and Portland students unless the student offers proof of adequate coverage by another company and completes the insurance waiver online on their WebAdvisor  no later than September 17, 2018 for the Fall semester, and February 24, 2019 for the Spring semester. Each student will be charged health insurance for the Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 semester of $1,327 for each semester (for a total of $2,654 for the year). However, if the student waives the insurance in the Fall they will not be billed for it on the Spring billing statement. You will need to contact Student Accounts if you need to change or update your insurance coverage.

International students cannot waive insurance, even if coverage is provided by a parent, guardian, or home country insurance policy or program.
