Immunization Requirements and Recommendations for Portland Campus Students

In compliance with Oregon Law, Linfield University requires that all students
born on or after January 1, 1957, enrolled in Linfield University campuses document immunity to measles, either with dates of two doses of vaccine, blood titers confirming immunity, or history of disease* documented by a health care provider.  [*History of disease is not acceptable for nursing health passport requirements.]

Measles immunity is also required by the Oregon Health Authority for healthcare students along with several other tests listed on the Health Passport Requirements. Documentation of Measles immunity is required on each student's nursing health passport and as well as being a mandatory part of the registration process at Linfield.  Students will not be enrolled in classes until the documentation is complete.

Below is a list of additional vaccines you may want to consider prior to enrollment.  Your health care provider can help in making decisions about vaccines.  You are welcome to discuss these vaccines with the staff at the Linfield Student Health, Wellness and Counseling Center located on the McMinnville campus.

Additional recommended, but not required, vaccines:

Meningococcal Vaccine
Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Series
