Description:
An overview of the philosophy, methods, and materials used in child care, preschool, kindergarten, and primary classrooms. Beginning with birth experiences, following the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children through the primary grades. Educational programs for child care centers, preschools, kindergartens, and the primary grades. Requires 30 clock hours of field experience in a preschool setting. Prerequisites: 150, 230, fingerprinting and OSP/FBI fingerprint clearance, and sophomore standing or consent of instructor. 3 credits.
