Dr. Jones' area of research expertise is fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder primarily affecting women. She has over 100 publications and her work is cited in national and international fibromyalgia treatment guidelines and texts including Cecil’s Textbook of Medicine, Physical Rehabilitation & Medicine, Kelly’s Textbook of Rheumatology and Neurology in Clinical Practice. She has completed 60 studies in fibromyalgia to date with over 11 million in funding from the National Institutes of Health, foundations, industry and donors. She speaks nationally regarding chronic pain,  opioids and cannabinoids.  She has received numerous award and accolades including being recognized as a Fellow in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing for her overall body of work. She is passionate about mentoring nurses to achieve their fullest potential.

Academic Interests:
Kim's area of research expertise is fibromyalgia, a chronic pain disorder primarily affecting women. She is the president of the Fibromyalgia Information Foundation, has 60 fibromyalgia studies and over 100 publications to her credit, and speaks nationally regarding chronic pain and treatments including cannabinoids. She is passionate about educating the next generation of nurse leaders and actively practices "lift as you climb" mentorship.
