4/24/2008 Linfield Taizé service slated

McMINNVILLE – A traditional Taizé worship service will be held Saturday, May 3, at 8 p.m. in 201 Riley Hall at Linfield College.

The worship is a candlelight service in the Christian tradition with reflective music and readings. It is a time of silence for prayer during which worshipers are invited to remain silent. The service will be led by student musicians and members of the Linfield Chaplain’s Team.

In cooperation with local churches, the Linfield College Chaplain's Office will host services of prayer and reflection throughout the academic year. A variety of musical and liturgical styles will be offered including Holden evening prayer, Taizé, Celtic, Jazz and Blues, Gospel and Native American.
