2/23/2004 Linfield schedules Dads’ Weekend

McMINNVILLE ? Over 40 dads along with other family members are expected to attend Linfield Wildcat Dad’s Weekend Feb. 27-28 at Linfield College.

Registration for the event will be Friday, Feb. 27, from 3 to 8 p.m. in Fred Meyer Lounge in Riley Hall. Those attending will have an opportunity to tour Nicholson Library and view the photo exhibit in the Miller Fine Arts Center. A poker and pool tournament is planned from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday in Fred Meyer Lounge and the game room in Riley Hall followed by a movie and pizza night 3rd Street Pizza in McMinnville. Cost for the movie is $3.

Several events are planned for Saturday, Feb. 28, beginning with registration from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Fred Meyer Lounge and a brunch in Dillin Hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost for the brunch is $5.

Afternoon and evening activities include a trip to the Bayou Golf Club to hit a bucket of balls on the driving range or a round of nine holes from 1 to 3:30 p.m. A student music showcase will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. in Fred Meyer Lounge. The Linfield women’s and men’s basketball teams will host University of Puget Sound beginning at 6 p.m. in Ted Wilson Gymnasium, followed by a dessert from 9:30 to 11 p.m. in Fred Meyer Lounge.
