Fall Graduation Information – December 2017
Congratulations to all candidates for graduation! The information below will help you and your families plan for graduation requirements, events this December, and the commencement ceremony next spring.
Graduation Stoles and Regalia
Graduation regalia (gown, cap, tassel) is required for the pinning ceremony. To order your regalia go to the Linfield bookstore homepage and click on the "December 2017 Nursing Grads" box at the top left of the page. (Cost of regalia is included in your graduation fee.) Your stole and nursing pin will be presented to you at the pinning ceremony. If you do not plan to attend the pinning ceremony and would like to receive your stole and pin in the mail, please notify Lisa Burke and provide your forwarding address.
Graduation Announcements and Class Rings
Announcements and rings are offered by Jostens. Contact Jostens at 1.800.488.2173 if you have questions about announcements, rings or your order.
Completion of Graduation Requirements
All graduation requirements must be met before your degree will be posted to your record and your diploma issued. Mindy Cowan has contacted students who have unfulfilled graduation requirements. Contact Mindy, firstname.lastname@example.org, with any questions regarding graduation requirements.
All graded Linfield courses are used to determine whether you qualify for honors at graduation (Latin honors). Since final grades are not due from faculty until the last day of the semester, we are not able to identify honors recipients until the last day of the semester. If you earn Latin honors, it will be posted to your Linfield transcript and noted on your diploma.
OSBN Licensing Requirements & NCLEX-RN Exam
Information detailing the process for seeking licensure by the Oregon State Board of Nursing was been emailed to all fall graduates on September 14. If you plan to seek licensure in a state other than Oregon, please contact that state's board of nursing for application materials.

Students with short-term loans must repay loans no later than December 1, 2017.
