Auditing a Course

Auditing is permitted on a space-available basis without charge for full-time students (10-18 credits) in nonlaboratory courses, with the consent of the instructor and the Registrar at the regular registration period. Students on the McMinnville or Portland Campuses who are enrolled for fewer than 10 credits will be charged a per credit fee for the course being audited.  Students enrolled for more than 18 credits will be also be charged a per credit fee for the course being audited. Please contact the business office for current per credit costs.   All fees are non-refundable. There will be no charge for Senior Citizens, at least age 65, under the definition of “Auditing a Course.” There is no discount for Senior Citizens for courses with transcripted credit. Recognition of an audit on the academic record signals that the student has been faithful in attending classes. Failure to attend regularly will be reported to the Registration Office by the instructor, and the student will automatically be withdrawn from the course. No credit hours are earned for auditing courses.
