Family Weekend is a terrific opportunity to visit your student and take-part in a variety of activities on campus and around McMinnville.

Challenge your student to a game of billiards, darts, ping-pong, foosball, air hockey or one of the various video games!

3 p.m.

Talk by Professor Michael Crosser - Riley Center, Room 201
Dr. Michael Crosser, professor of physics, will discuss his research to develop sensors using a material called graphene and how these detectors can change the way we buy wine in the future.  Listen to Professor Crosser to learn more about graphene, what it is, and how students play a role in his work.

Wine Tasting - R. Stuart Winery, 528 NE 3rd Street, McMinnville
Sample local wines and taste just a little bit of what makes McMinnville so special. This event is now FULL!

Coffee with the President and the Deans - Jonasson Hall, lower level of Melrose Hall
Join President Thomas L. Hellie, Vice President of Student Affairs and Athletics and Dean of Students Susan Hopp and Dean of Faculty and Vice President for Academic Affairs Susan Agre-Kippenhan for coffee and pastries. Visit with college administrators informally and hear brief remarks from the president and the two deans.

Career Development at Linfield - Jonasson Hall, lower level of Melrose Hall
Wondering how Linfield will help prepare your son or daughter for a career after college? Hear from Linfield's Director of Career Development, Michael J. Hampton. Learn about the ways that Linfield can work with students, even as early as freshman and sophomore year, to get them started on the right track. Find out how parents can play a role in career development. Following the talk, stop by the HUB in Melrose Hall to take a tour.

Linfield College Study Abroad Programs, "A Mark of Excellence" - Riley Center, Room 201
Linfield students have taken the opportunities to engage with other cultures and broaden their perspective on world affairs over the years. Visit with and listen to faculty and students who have traveled abroad to various countries.

Downtown McMinnville Celebration - Third Street, McMinnville
Downtown merchants invite you to enjoy the various shops and restaurants available on historic Third Street. There will be great specials at the stores.

1:30 p.m.

Football vs. George Fox - Maxwell Field
Support your Wildcats as they take to the field and face their opponents, the Bruins of George Fox University.
Reserved tickets (those in the covered stadium) are $15. General admission are those seats that are not under cover and are $10. Linfield students do not need to purchase general admission tickets. Because the reserved seating is assigned, Linfield students wishing to sit in the reserved section do need to purchase tickets.
