Taylor Klopp ’15 Hometown: Eugene Major: Finance/economics Why Linfield: “I chose Linfield because of the small college feel that allows for small class sizes and great professor interactions. Linfield also had a golf program that I felt I could become a key part of.” Major and future: “I initially came to study marketing but after taking finance and economics classes, I realized that this is where my interests are. I am also working on a minor in sports management so my dream is to combine my love for sports with my business endeavors.” Balancing a full plate: “As Interfraternity Council president and Kappa Sigma treasurer, on top of school and golf, it is tough to balance everything. At the end of the day, I enjoy being active in the Linfield community and a part of campus life.” Goals: “I hope to maintain my GPA, win the conference as an individual, and for our team to compete for the title.” Biggest influence: “The biggest influence in my life has been my dad, who was the person who got me into golf and has helped me develop my game. He has been my primary swing coach and high school coach, which kept me on track to be successful in college.” Favorite part of Linfield: “My favorite aspect of Linfield is the ability to know so many people on a personal basis. Linfield allows people to develop relationships with peers and professors that will last for a lifetime.” Advice for student athletes: “Make the most of your time at Linfield. The four years go by fast so by the time you reach your senior year, make sure you have made your impact on campus.” Summer 2014 l i n f i e l d m a g a z i n e - 2 3 Wildcat Open approaches Join Linfield Wildcats and friends on the green for a day of fun, food, friendship and golf during the 2014 Wildcat Open Friday, July 18, at 1 p.m. at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club in Aloha.
