Council leads alumni mission Linfield’s Alumni Leadership Council is shaping the alumni experience. The council meets three times annually to discuss ways to nurture lifelong connections with the Linfield community. Council members provide input and direction for alumni events, service, programming and communications. Amy (Szumlanski) Klocko ’03 of Junction City and her husband, Andrew, had a son, Theodore Martin, July 5. Aubrey (Turriaga) Nava ’03 of Mesa, Ariz., had a son, Alexander Eugenio, June 13. She is a microbiologist at the Mayo Clinic. Joshua Johnson ’04 and Kelsey Lyle ’07 live in Dulles, Va. Joshua has been sworn in as a State Department Foreign Service Officer and will serve in Chennai, India. Scott and Jen (Bishop) Brockett ’04 and ’05 of Milwaukie had a son, Charlie Robert, May 19. Amanda (Rozen) Palmer ’05 of Moscow, Idaho, and husband Nathan had a daughter, Samantha Robin, May 21, their fourth child. Brett Elliott ’05 is quarterbacks coach for the Mississippi State University football team. Elise (Brimhall) Steele ’05 of Bellevue, Wash., and husband Benjamin had a daughter, Mary, May 10. George IV and Abby (Yenne) Carter ’05 and ’07 of Salem had a son, George V, June 11. Jinnell Lewis ’05 of Madras and husband Chris Toman had a son, Canyon Mitchell Toman, June 24. Jordan Hollern ’05 of Great Falls, Mont., won the Dufresne Foundation Outstanding Educator Award for 2015-16. He was also one of 20 Montana teachers selected to participate in the math and science leadership development program. Justin Samples ’05 of Boise, Idaho, and wife Cara had a son, Jackson Walter, Nov. 29. Kristen (Romanaggi) Marick ’05 of Portland and husband Joel had a daughter, Theodosia Edwina, Sept. 4.
