Samantha (Schmehl) Hines ’99 was named 2014 Outstanding Young Alumna for her achievements in her profession. Hines is director of the Missoula College Library at the University of Montana, an associate professor and accomplished academic. She has published two books and served in a variety of leadership roles in her profession. Ashlee (Tucker) Moehring ’02 was a 2013 Outstanding Young Alumna but was unable to attend last year’s celebration. She is a director of Sellwood Consulting LLC, an investment consulting firm in Portland that she co-founded in 2012. She also sits on Sellwood’s Board of Directors and Investment Committee, and is the firm’s chief compliance officer. As a lead consultant, she provides investment advice to mid-size institutional clients such as endowments, foundations and retirement plans. Cathy (Wark) Carnahan ’73 received the Distinguished Alumna Award for her passion and dedication to education. She is the principal of Duniway Middle School in McMinnville and was named the 2011 National Middle School Principal of the Year. Her innovative strategies have enabled Duniway to perform in the top 10 percent of all middle schools in the state. Bob and Nancy (Steinbach) Haack, both ’69, received the Alumni Service Award for their volunteer contributions of time and energy to Linfield College. The Haacks are passionate about Linfield and both are members of the Hall of Fame. They are strong supporters of athletics, and Nancy has coordinated class and sorority reunions and served on the Alumni Leadership Council.
