Linfield’s first graduate program will offer a master’s degree in health care leadership for BSN-prepared registered nurses.
Designed with the work-life balance of nurses in mind, the new Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Leadership in Healthcare Ecosystems is an accelerated, online program for nurses who want to lead change and promote equity in health systems.
Starting in fall 2020, the new university program incorporates the fields of environmental, social and health sciences, as well as economics, to address current and future challenges to healthcare delivery. The program addresses these challenges while advocating for a sustainable and just healthcare ecosystem.
“This is an ideal time to offer a master’s degree that puts nurses in the driver’s seat,” said Kim Dupree Jones, Linfield’s dean of nursing. “Our graduates will transform the healthcare system as they advance their own careers. The program grows tomorrow’s leaders and serves as a springboard for success in doctoral programs.”
