Crime Prevention A-Z
What is Crime Prevention?
Crime Prevention is the “anticipation, recognition and appraisal of a crime risk and the initiation of some action to remove or reduce it.” The University’s crime prevention philosophy is one of eliminating or minimizing criminal opportunities whenever possible, and encouraging campus community members to be responsible for their own safety and security.
The concept of crime prevention is a philosophy based upon the belief that crime rates can be curbed by the actions of a dedicated, informed and united community.
LPS provides the community with crime prevention services. We welcome your calls and are available for consultations and presentations revolving around various issues of personal safety, and pro-active crime prevention issues. Seminars and workshops are held throughout the year with various groups upon request.
