Linfield wine studies and business students took a top prize in the 2019 Intercollegiate Wine Business Invitational.
Cameron Reuter, Erin Burns, Hanna Bingham, Lily Hanridge, Maxwell Bonda, Patrick McKee, Ryan Clark and Tia Elder took the top prize in the Business Plan category for their brand, “Odd One Out, Cultivar Cellars Gamay Noir.”
Linfield faculty Virlena Crosley, Russ Paine and Greg Jones served as advisors to the winning team.
“The Linfield team’s performance in the year’s Intercollegiate Wine Business Invitational is to be commended and comes after the college’s team last year took the Grand Prize,” said Jones, director of the Evenstad Center for Wine Education.
The Linfield team competed against 17 teams from Washington State University, Michigan State University, Penn State University, Florida International University, Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and the University of Houston.
