Linfield College will observe Constitution Day with an event on the relationship between civility and inclusion.
The Frederick Douglass Forum on Law, Rights, and Justice and the Program for Liberal Arts and Civic Engagement (PLACE) will hold a “Conversation about Civility, Diversity and Inclusion” on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 4:30 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall.

Most of Linfield College’s new students — about 375, including both freshmen and transfers — attended the traditional opening convocation Friday along with parents, staff and other college community members. Classes started Monday.
Linfield’s new president, Miles Davis, opened his part of the convocation with a shout.
In honor of Constitution Day, Linfield College will be hosting events on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 11:45 a.m. in 201 Riley Hall and Thursday, Oct. 12, at 4:30 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium in Melrose Hall.
