Abigail Sperling, instructor of flute at Linfield College, will present “Watercolors,” a faculty recital at Linfield, featuring music from Hummel, Gaubert and Copland. The recital will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Delkin Recital Hall at the Vivian A. Bull Music Center.
Guest musicians include Victoria Wolff-Zevallos on cello and Susan McDaniel on piano. Works include J. N. Hummel’s Trio Op. 78 and Philipe Gaubert’s Trois Aquarelles. Duo by Aaron Copland for flute and piano, and the solo work Circumambulation by Yan Maresz, will also be performed. Continue reading
