Ethnobotanist Nancy Turner to speak at Linfield 

Nancy Turner ethnobotanistAcclaimed ethnobotanist Nancy Turner will present a lecture and help kick off an upcoming anthropology exhibit at Linfield College. 

Turner, emeritus professor of environmental studies at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, will present “Well Grounded: Traditional Management of Root Vegetables in Northwestern North America” on Tuesday, March 5, at 7 p.m. in Ice Auditorium, in Melrose Hall.   Continue reading

Exhibit at Linfield College museum explores ‘Discoveries and Donations’ 

Senegal exhibit, Linfield Anthropology MuseumA new exhibit at the Linfield Anthropology Museum, rather than examine a specific time period or event, explores the museum itself. 

The exhibit, “Discoveries and Donations: A Retrospective of the Linfield Anthropology Museum,” opens on Tuesday, Dec. 5. A noon reception will kick off the opening.
