Linfield College was ranked in the top tier of national online bachelor’s degree programs, according to the 2018 U.S. News and World Report list released Tuesday. Linfield has the highest-ranked online bachelor’s degree program among private liberal arts colleges in Oregon.
The magazine assessed programs based on four general categories: student engagement; student services and technology; faculty credentials and training; and peer reputation. Nationally, Linfield’s online bachelor’s program is tied for 143rd with universities such as Texas Tech and East Carolina University.
“Regardless of major, Linfield students online receive a well-rounded, liberal arts education that prepares them for the opportunities that lay ahead,” said Laura Brener, Director for Online & Continuing Education.
In September’s U.S. News & World Report ranking of the nation’s best liberal arts colleges, Linfield was tied for the No. 1 spot among Pacific Northwest liberal arts colleges for “Best Ethnic Diversity.” Additionally, the college was ranked 117th in the rankings, out of 233 schools.
Linfield has been involved in online education since the 1990s. It offers online bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, Business Information Systems, Global Studies, International Business, Management, Marketing, Project Management and Nursing.
