Linfield College will present a fall chamber music recital on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m. in the Delkin Recital Hall in the Vivian A. Bull Music Center at Linfield.
The recital, showcasing students and faculty, will feature works by W.A. Mozart, Erik Satie and Gary Schocker; as well as Christmas music.
A mixed ensemble featuring violin and viola, and a vocalist, coached by and featuring assistant professor of music Johnandrew Slominski on piano will perform pieces by W.A. Mozart and Camille Saint-Saëns.
A clarinet duet, coached by Abigail Sperling, will perform “Duo No. 3 in C major” by Bernhard Henrik Crusell. Flute ensembles, also coached by Sperling, will play pieces by Giuseppe Gariboldi and Gary Schocker.
The Brass Ensemble, coached by Joan Paddock, will perform four pieces, including “Carillon for Two Trumpets” by Erik Satie.
The Linfield Cello Ensemble and Linfield Chamber Strings, coached by Diane Chaplin, will perform pieces by Beethoven and Dvorak.
