A new exhibit at the Linfield Anthropology Museum, rather than examine a specific time period or event, explores the museum itself.
The exhibit, “Discoveries and Donations: A Retrospective of the Linfield Anthropology Museum,” opens on Tuesday, Dec. 5. A noon reception will kick off the opening.
The exhibit is a look back at the history of the museum, examining its development and how it has changed over time. It explores the origins of the collections that form the museum, where the objects came from and the donors that generously gifted them.
The show is prepared by Linfield College senior Zoya Miller as part of her honors thesis.
The show is free and open to the public. The Linfield Anthropology Museum is located on the first floor of Walker Hall on campus, and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.linfield.edu/soan/linfield-anthropology-museum.
