Linfield students to present Broadway cabaret

Pioneer Hall, Linfield CollegeLinfield College music students will perform a musical theatre cabaret on Wednesday, May 21, at 8 p.m. in Delkin Recital Hall in the Vivian A. Bull Music Center at Linfield.

“Broadway Baby!” will feature scenes and songs from Broadway, and is the culmination of the musical theatre cabaret class, led by Natalie Gunn, adjunct professor of music at Linfield. Student performers include seniors Angie Aguilar and Chelsea Ploof, sophomore Megan Uhrinak and freshman Mikenna Whatley. Susan McDaniel, principal staff accompanist and a 1997 Linfield graduate, will accompany the performances on the piano. The group will perform scenes and songs from contemporary Broadway musicals such as “Les Miserábles,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “The Secret Garden,” “Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark,” “Avenue Q” and more.
