Spam Filter - Managing your Quarantine Items

To manage your quarantine items:
  • Go to the spam filter web page.
  • Login with your Catnet credentials.
  • Select Quarantine Inbox at the top.
  • Check a box next to a message and select one of 3 actions:
    • Deliver: delivers the selected message to your mailbox.
    • Whitelist: adds the selected message to your whitelist so all future emails from this sender will not be quarantined (unless the message contains a virus).
    • Delete: deletes the selected message from your quarantine list. The main reason to delete messages is to keep track of quarantine messages you have already reviewed. Deleted messages cannot be recovered.
To change your user preferences:
  • Go to the spam filter web page.
  • Login with your Catnet credentials.
  • Select Preferences at the top.
  • Select Whitelist/Blocklist to do the following (note: Whitelist are messages that are allowed, Blocklist are messages that will be blocked):
    • Add an entry: type the email address into the appropriate Whitelist or Blocklist field and click Add. Note: if you enter the full email address (eg, user@linfield.edu), just that user will be allowed or blocked. If you enter a domain (eg, linfield.edu), all users from that domain will be allowed or blocked.
    • Delete an entry: click the trash can next to the address.
  • Select Quarantine Settings to do the following:
    • Determine how often you want to receive an email summary of the quarantined messages. If you select Never, you can still review the messages from the quarantine interface.
