Fraternity & Sorority Events & Risk Management

All fraternity and sorority chapters must submit individual proposals on how they plan to manage social events for their chapter. When a fraternity or sorority chapter holds a social event, the chapter must follow the guidelines outlined in the Risk Management Policies & Procedures Handbook.

Event Registration

Register your chapter events here. All events (especially social functions) need to be registered at least two weeks in advance.

Event Framework

Our event framework provides a structure for a three-step process when a chapter registers a social event with or without alcohol.

  • A pre-event risk management meeting for all social functions
    • Before every event with alcohol, as needed before events without alcohol
  • An event follow-up report for each registered social function
  • A post-event follow-up meeting, as needed
