Linfield College Fraternity & Sorority Life
FSL Shared Values: Leadership | Scholarship | Service | Philanthropy | Siblinghood
Fraternities & sororities are organizations whose primary purpose is the personal development of their members. In contrast to most student organizations, membership in a fraternity or sorority is a lifetime affiliation, with students receiving the benefits of membership long after graduation.
Linfield FSL chapters are committed to academic excellence, community service, leadership development, & forming lifelong bonds with our Fraternal brothers & Panhellenic sisters.
Linfield is home to three national sororities (Alpha Phi, Phi Sigma Sigma, & Zeta Tau Alpha) & one local sorority (Sigma Kappa Phi), as well as three national fraternities (Kappa Sigma, Pi Kappa Alpha, & Theta Chi) & one local fraternity (Delta Psi Delta).

Joining a Chapter
Whether or not you decide to join a chapter, going through recruitment in itself is an great way to get involved & make new friends.
Linfield is a deferred recruitment campus, meaning first year, non-transfer students must wait until their spring semester to join a chapter. Linfield requires that students interested in joining the FSL Community are in good standing with the College & have a minimum 2.5 college GPA.
Linfield FSL uses a values-based, mutual selection recruitment system. Centering the recruitment process for both the FSL members & the potential new members on the core values of each FSL organization helps ensure an enriching experience for all.
