New Students - Important Financial Aid Dates for Fall 2016

December 15 Early Action Admission students that wish to receive a Financial Aid Estimate may submit FAFSA4Caster results to Linfield's Office of Financial Aid.  Just print the results and sent them via FAX at 503.883.2486, or email to finaid@linfield.edu, or mail to 900 SE Baker St, McMinnville, OR 97128.

 January 1 File your 2016-2017 FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov.  Linfield’s federal school code is 003198.  We encourage you to file as soon after January 1, as possible.

 January 15 Early Action Admission and Financial Aid Estimate Notification for admitted freshman.

Mid-March, no later than April 1


Notification of financial aid awards begins for admitted freshman.

 May 1


National Candidate Reply Date for admitted freshman - Matriculation Fee $400 due to the Office of Admission.

April, no later than May 15

Notification of financial aid awards begins for admitted transfer students.
June 15

Enrollment Notification Deadline and Matriculation Fee $400 due to the Office of Admission.
 
July

The Student Accounts Office
sends out bills/student account statements for fall semester 2016, as well as instructions on how to “clear your account” on WebAdvisor by August 15, 2016.  Parents planning to borrow a Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan may submit the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan Request Form to the Office of Financial Aid for a credit check, upon approval will be required to complete the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note at www.studentloans.gov.

August Office of Financial Aid begins disbursing financial aid to eligible students, classes begin August 29, 2016 for fall semester.  First time Federal Direct Stafford (subsidized/unsubsidized) student loan borrowers must complete both their Master Promissory Note (MPN) and Entrance Counseling at www.studentloans.gov.
