Wine Marketing Certificate Overview
The Wine Marketing Certificate Program gives you the knowledge and experience you need to prepare for a career in the growing wine industry. With an emphasis on the business side of wine, courses focus on subjects such as sales management, communications, and marketing strategies. The program, to give you a better understanding of the field, also includes courses on contemporary wine production and distribution. At the completion of your studies, you will have greatly expanded your job prospects.
While the "old world" wine industry (mostly European) still rules the roost, American wineries have been on the rise in recent years. At last count, there were nearly 9,000 of them in the United States. Although accurate figures can be hard to come by, it is reliably estimated that the industry employs hundreds of thousands of people. Because they love what they do, some workers don't consider money to be a motivating factor. With that said, there is ample room for advancement for employees who love the industry and want to get ahead.
Graduates of the Linfield College Online and Continuing Education program could pursue a career as a marketing professional, social media expert, compliance manager, or direct-to-customer marketing manager.
Who Should Enroll
Because the focus of the program is marketing, sales, and other business-related subjects, small winery owners, operators, and employees are ideal candidates. Wine marketing courses would also benefit anyone who is considering a job in the wine industry.
