Dennis Marks joined Linfield College in January of 2018. His previous experience includes 6 years in the United States Marine Corps followed by 26 years with McMinnville Police Department. He retired from the police department in 2017 at the rank of Captain. He has a bachelor’s Degree in Management and Communications from Corban University in Salem and is an adjunct instructor for Criminal Justice with Chemeketa Community College. He is married and has eight children and eleven grand-children. He enjoys outdoor activities, working with his church and community, and family activities.
Senior Officer Curiel joined Linfield College in 2011. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Western Oregon University. Prior to serving with Linfield, Officer Curiel worked for Marion County Sheriff's Office. Officer Curiel is fluent in both English and Spanish. In addition to patrolling and answering calls for service, Jose serves on the President's Advisory Committee on Diversity and provides oversight of the training program for Linfield College Public Safety staff.
Officer Luke has worked with Linfield College since 2018 and assists the department with Investigations in addition to her regular patrol duties. Erika has experience in law enforcement as a volunteer with the San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Office and has worked on an Organized Retail Crimes Investigations Team. She has a degree in Criminal Justice from Victor Valley College. She is a youth soccer coach and loves her yearly river trips to Lake Havasu with her family.
Officer Cummins joined Linfield College in 2015 and is the Emergency Management Coordinator in addition to his routine patrol duties. He retired from the McMinnville Police Department after 30 years of service. Officer Cummins has expertise in emergency management and preparedness and is a volunteer with the McMinnville Fire Department.
Officer Long has worked with Linfield College since 2016. Prior to working with Linfield College, Officer Long worked for Wells Fargo Bank in the Home Equity Processing Department where she oversaw such areas as Fast Track, Equity Service Team, and EDM. She has a Bachelor's degree in Health Science from Linfield College and has attended the Western Association of College Law Enforcement Administrators. Most of her experience has been in managing people and handling sensitive and confidential issues. Officer Long enjoys summer vacations with her family and watching her boys play sports.
Officer Mitchell joined Linfield College in 2012. He has an Associate of Arts degree from Oregon Institute of Technology (Klamath Falls, Oregon campus), where he was also a student security officer. He transferred to Western Oregon University and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in The Social Sciences, with emphasis in Corrections. He also gained 400 practicum hours with The Federal Bureau of Prisons in Sheridan, Oregon. Prior to joining Linfield, Officer Mitchell has worked many years with the Oregon Youth Authority and in security with UPS Tualatin and Tektronix. He is a graduate from the basic academy of the Western Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators.
Officer Ransier has served with Linfield College since 2005. Prior to working at Linfield he served several years in the U.S. Army. In addition to patrolling and answering calls for service, Officer Ransier provides oversight of the Linfield College access control systems.
Officer Krigbaum has worked with Linfield College since 2011, both as a full time and now as an On-Call officer. He has experience in law enforcement, and has a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington University where he is also an alumnus of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Officer Krigbaum received his M.A. in Teaching with a Special Education Endorsement at Pacific University.
Officer Jarding joined Linfield in 2019. He brings with him experience as a retail supervisor and loss prevention officer. He also spent time as a Park Ranger for McMinnville Police Department. Jarding has had the opportunity to volunteered with OLCC and McMinnville Police Department as a minor decoy. Jarding graduated from Makay High School in 2017 and enrolled in Chemekata’s Law Enforcement program as a full-time student. He plans to graduate in 2020. In his free time Jarding enjoys spending time with his family and loved ones. He also enjoys personal fitness and anything outdoors.
Officer Wilson has worked with Linfield College since 2019 as a patrol officer. Ryan has worked over the last 10 years for Portland Community College, Tigard-Tualaltin school district and Newberg school district as a Custodian and Lead Custodian. He attended Yamhill-Carlton High School and received an AAS is Criminal Justice from Portland Community College. In his free time he enjoys camping with his family, riding motorcycles, and attending stand-up comedy shows.
Officer McClendon joined Linfield college in 2019. He has had several years of experience as a public safety officer which included armed patrol. He also spend several years as a volunteer for Oroville Police Department/California Highway Patrol. Scott has taken courses in welding , mechanics, and animal science. In Scott’s spare time you will finding him riding motorcycles, fishing, or restoring old cars.
