NetVUE Grant Information
The Office for Career Development and the Chaplain’s Office at Linfield College are excited to announce that they have been awarded a two-year grant to support the integration and creation of vocational exploration programming for our students.
The Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE), a program under the Council of Independent Colleges, has the goal “to enrich the intellectual and theological exploration of vocation among undergraduate students.” NetVUE believes “colleges and universities rooted in the liberal arts are particularly well suited to undertake the task of educating future leaders who are theologically literate, whose attitudes and behaviors are shaped by their values and commitments, and who are eager to sustain a life of service that is guided by a sense of calling.”
At Linfield, our students find their calling by linking the traditional liberal arts with a practical education via collaborative research, service learning, internships and other experiential learning opportunities. We are eager to be able to enrich these experiences for our students by helping them discover how they tell the story of who they are and point to their distinctive purpose in life.
