Tell us about your employer.
I am the Digital Content and Social Media Specialist for the Children's Cancer Association (CCA). At CCA we believe that seriously ill children and teens deserve long, wonderful lives -- or at the very least, short, wonderful lives. For children diagnosed with serious illness and their families, every moment is precious. Our goal is to transform as many of those moments as possible with joy.
Tell us about yourself.
I am an outdoor enthusiast who always has a camera in my hand. I love capturing beautiful and touching moments both in images and in writing, which is why I enjoy collaborating on the blog at CCA. I am an advocate for the environment and women's rights, and truly believe that creating moments of joy is important, not only for the kids I help, but in my own life, too. I enjoy spending time with the people I love, traveling, reading, writing and painting.
How did Linfield help prepare you for your career?
At Linfield, I learned to change whatever life throws at me to my advantage. Being one of five students in my major, we had the ability to shape how and what we studied and to push the boundaries of what electronic arts really means. I have carried that into my work to fuel my passions and create new and invigorating projects with my colleagues.
