Monday, September 28

(Stay at) Homecoming 2020 Welcome! - 12 p.m.

Live event with President Davis

Linfield Nursing in 2020 - 5 p.m.

Live event, Dean Jones and Associate Dean Smith will discuss the first master's program for Linfield University, and share about nursing education today. Guest speakers will include current students of the master's program.

Student Government Past + Present: Networking - 6 p.m.

Alumni, do you have fond memories of your time in student government? We hope you join us to reconnect and network, speed dating style! Current student government leaders are welcome to network with the alumni that paved the way for them!

Linfield’s Finest: Alumni Awards Ceremony - 7 p.m.

Every year the Alumni Leadership Council receives nominations for, and votes on, annual alumni awards.  We hope you join us for our virtual edition of Linfield’s Finest as we celebrate 5 of Linfield’s finest alumni: Nancy Jo Hoover ’70, Quin (Abrahamson) Denfield ’05, Jenna Nakao ’06, Trevor Phillips ’00 and Rachel Axtman ’15

Linfield First Scholars Program - 5 p.m.

Live event, Linfield has long had a commitment to first-generation college students, students whose parents did not complete a bachelor's degree. Learn more about the emergence of first-gen and Linfield’s approach to create an interdependent campus culture where all students thrive.

Teaching Today: Education Connections - 6 p.m.

Networking time! Linfield's Department of Education invites you to join us for a fast pace event to connect education alumni and students through our dynamic and virtual networking platform. In only an hour, you will have the opportunity to meet with 10+ current education students and alumni in brief, five-minute sessions. We hope you will join us for this exciting opportunity and meet students and alumni doing amazing work in the PK-12 system.

Education Alumni and Faculty Virtual Reception - 7 p.m.

Wanting to reconnect with faculty in the education department? Join us for a virtual reception, for an opportunity to reconnect with education faculty, professors emeritus, and other alumni. We look forward to having you stop by and say ‘hi!’

Wednesday, September 30

Pizza and Politics: Presidential Debate Debrief - 5 p.m.

Join Linfield faculty and students in an interactive discussion about the first presidential debate. This (Stay at) Homecoming special edition of “Pizza and Politics” will provide a venue for questions about what we learned from the debate, engagement on the issues that were discussed by the candidates, and sharing of insights about potential impacts on the upcoming election.

Meet the Phis - 6 p.m.

Come back to Alpha Phi during (Stay at) Homecoming week! Alumnae are invited to meet current members since the usual alumnae events will not be able to occur. We would love to meet you!

Pi Kappa Alpha: Connections, Networking - 6 p.m.

Networking for Pi Kappa Alpha alumni, using Hop-Ins dynamic and fast pace platform.

Trivia: You went to college, now test that knowledge! - 7 p.m.

Thursday, October 1

Hermann Weissgarber: a Glimpse of Austria - 5 p.m.

Hear from the International Program's longstanding Austrian program director, Hermann Weissgarber discuss all things Austria and studying abroad.

Parent Social Hour - 5 p.m.

Parents of current Linfield students are invited to a virtual social hour. Grab your own beverage and take advantage of a casual and fun opportunity to get to know other Linfield parents. The number of social hours will be determined by RSVP's, so please sign up today. Registration closes Sept. 30. The Zoom link will be emailed to you the morning of Oct. 1.

Oregon Wine 101 - 6 p.m.

Explore Oregon wine with Linfield's Evenstad Center for Wine Education faculty and staff! Hear updates from the curriculum, hear about the Oak & Vine Society opportunities, and finally explore the flavors of Oregon wine with tasting tips and wine recommendations.

Concert Choir sings "The Road Home" - 7 p.m.

A staple of Linfield's history is our rich tradition of song, reflecting an ongoing dedication to fine arts. Please join the Linfield University Concert Choir as they present a special performance of "The Road Home" by Stephen Paulus.

Friday, October 2

Wildcat Athletes Across the Decades - 6 p.m.

Linfield athletics has a longstanding tradition of athletic excellence. And while Catdome football is a fall staple, we are excited to showcase athletes from all our various fields, courts, and beyond! 

Theatre, Communication Arts, Intercultural Communication and Forensics: Connection Event - 6:30 p.m.

Reconnect with friends and meet new alumni in Hop-In’s dynamic networking environment!

Crisscrossing Science - 7 p.m.

Hear a special homecoming edition of the popular science and technology podcast from Linfield faculty Michael Crosser and Chad Tillberg!

Saturday, October 3

Grain Station Tailgate - 12 p.m.

Join us at the Grain Station for our only in-person event for homecoming. Enjoy good food as we hear the life and times of one of Linfield University’s finest role models and educators: Doug Hire. Hear the life lessons and journey that have molded this cancer survivor, former two-time all-American and professional football player, longtime coach and educator, and current senior associate athletic director, into the person who embodies so much of our unique Wildcat strength, spirit and community focus.

Cost: $25 per person. Must sign up in groups of 4, 6, 8, or 10 to comply with COVID safety regulations.

Cooking with Pedro! - 1 p.m.

We know him for his captivating music, now his skills in the kitchen will be on display! Join international student Pedro Graterol as he makes arepas, a traditional South American dish.

Physics/Applied Physics Networking - 4 p.m.

Join physics and applied physics faculty and students for HopIn’s dynamic speed-dating style networking! Reconnect and meet new alumni.

Linfield Leadership Huddle - 5 p.m.

In a time of so much uncertainty, what does it mean to be a leader? Please join our panel of distinguished leaders as they discuss their own varied leadership experiences and values: former Athletic Director/Hall of Fame Football player and Coach Ad Rutschman, President Miles Davis, current Athletic Director and Hall of Fame Track and Field Coach Dr. Garry Killgore, and our new Dean of Business, Dr. Jennifer Madden. This is not an event to miss!
