Consult Peer and/or Faculty Advisor
At Linfield, every student has a faculty advisor. As a new student, your first faculty advisor is also the instructor of your Colloquium course. Once you arrive on campus and during your time at Linfield, your faculty advisor will be a valuable resource in shaping your academic interests and encouraging your intellectual growth.
You will meet with your faculty advisor during Orientation to discuss your academic interests, review your course schedule and make adjustments as needed. Your faculty advisor must approve your course schedule before the beginning of the semester. Prior to registration for every semester at Linfield, you must meet with your faculty advisor to discuss your proposed course schedule and receive approval. Building a relationship with your faculty advisor is important to help your advisor get to know you. You may choose a different faculty advisor in your major department when you have declared a major (after your first semester).
