Casey Lundberg
Hi! I'm Casey, a senior double majoring in literature and philosophy. My hometown is Bend, OR. I dearly love books, and am devoted to music and the outdoors.

Ansley Clark
I'm a senior literature major and French/creative writing minor from Gig Harbor, Washington.  I'm involved in the Linfield Literary Arts Club, and this fall I've embarked on a long, fickle, frustrating, and unrequited love affair with Ayn Rand. I also happen to love hole-in-the-wall coffee shops and crying happily over American history.

Beth Satterwhite

I am a senior sociology major who enjoys coffee, conversations, poetry, and riding my bike with no hands.  I also love to cook and am exploring my love of food through my senior thesis on civic agriculture.  Also, I'm really not all that worried about graduating.  Maybe I should be...?

Kelley Hungerford

Hey, I'm Kelley!  I'm a junior business major from Park Ridge, Illinois (think Chicago).  I am editor on the newspaper staff, and I'm contemplating minoring in something, drinking less coffee, and becoming more like Katherine Hepburn.  But we'll see.

Britney Gray

I am a senior religious studies major and gender studies minor from La Grande, Oregon.  I am a member of Sigma Kappa Phi sorority and spend the rest of my spare feeding blood, sweat, and tears to my senior thesis.  After graduation, I hope to enter Portland State University's graduate program in book editing and publishing.

Sterling Scott

Hallowed greetings to you. My name is Sterling Artimus Scott, son of George Allen Scott III, Son of Sir Stuart William Scott, the son of Prince Henry Maynard Scott, who once led 100 men into battle against 5000 and died.  I have come to this blessed ground as a new kind of warrior that fights bad grammar and poor word choice instead of men. Yes, my family has ostracized me for my pacifist beliefs, but I continue to fight against the very REAL horrors that plague our society: run-on sentences, sloppy organization, and a stunning lack of professionalism.  When not fighting for the liberation of literature and poetry, I enjoy walking through the Linfield campus, declaring my love for the skies and trees in haikus I create on the spot. My fellow students know me by my handsome beard and roguish good looks, and my talent with pretty words makes me quite a hit with the ladytypes.  I hope you stop by and visit the Writing Center soon. 'Tis a most lovely place, filled with wonderful folks. Until next time...farewell.

Rebecca Pechette

Becca is a senior English major from Portland, Oregon.

Robin Severson

Robin is a senior Creative Writing major and Philosophy minor from Washington.

Greg Larson

Gregory Raymond Larson I is a sophomore English major from Oregon City, Oregon, where the West was won. In his spare time, what little exists, he enjoys reading, writing, and music. He is desperately passionate about a complex combination of art (music, literature, and visual mediums), that boarders on inexplicability, but he is willing to dedicate his life to an attempt. He is given to capricious adventure, and wont to bivouac wherever he ends up, be it wooded forest, bustling business district, or comfortable bed.  He collects memories, friends, rubber bands, poetry, and versions of the song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." Ready and willing to be actively involved, to lend any sort of helping hand, foot, or extraneous appendage he is able, he is enthusaic and excited to work for the writing center and further his involvement in the English and Literary community of Linfield College.

Allison Elliott

I am a sophomore Psychology major from Medford, Oregon. Reading, writing, and drinking coffee are some of my favorite hobbies. When I'm not busy studying or working, I like to nap, build forts, play Mario Kart, and watch Jeopardy.

Eric Stones

I'm a Sophomore Creative Writing major from Beaverton Oregon.  I read. A lot. And I write a bit too... I also love music, comic books and video games. I realize that makes me sound like kind of a nerd, but I'm totally okay with that.

Rachel Mills

Rachel Mills is a junior who wishes she was still in kindergarten. She dreams of being an eccentric published author so she can walk around town muttering to herself and be excused for her strange behavior because she is an eccentric writer. In the meantime, she is settling for being an eccentric creative writing/business student and writing center assistant. She loves long walks on the beach, curling up with a good book, and wishing on falling stars.

Dr. David Sumner
I have been directing both Linfield’s Writing Program and Writing Center since 2004.  Before that, I taught, and was director of writing at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.  I received my PhD from the University of Oregon in 2000. I am very interested in writing and rhetoric and I teach American and environmental literature in the English and environmental studies departments. When I’m not reading, writing, teaching, or researching, I enjoy wandering wild landscapes with my family and my fly rod.
