The Upward Bound Office is located on Linfield Ave. directly across
from Murdock Hall (there is an Upward Bound sign right out front).

Upward Bound is a college preparatory program that assists eligible participants to develop skills and motivation necessary for success in education beyond high school. The project helps students by providing counseling, tutoring, academic year and summer residential coursework, college preparatory activities and weekly academic year contact.

During the summer, 50 students in grades 9-12 participate in a six-week residential program on Linfield's Campus. The program includes classes, activities, tutoring, and cultural and social programming. There is also a camping experience and a number of field trips during the summer.

Linfield College Upward Bound Defunded

It is with great sadness that we announce that our application for a continuation grant during the 2012 Upward Bound Program competition did not score high enough to earn an award. Our current grant ends August 31, 2012, however, due to funding remaining from a previous grant, we will be able to operate through August 31, 2013. For more detailed information, please read this letter.
