LINFIELD FORENSICS TEAM OPENS SEASON WITH FIRST PLACE AWARDS

The Linfield Forensics Team participated in the first tournament of the Season October 9-11 at Lewis & Clark College in Portland.

Eight competitors received awards, including five first place awards. More than 25 schools from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, and Louisiana participated in the competition, which featured 12 individual events as well as British-Parliamentary Debate.

Individual Events

Kaitlyn Vannoy - 1st place in Forensics Criticism

Stephanie Heuser - 3rd place in Novice Prose

Kyle Helm - 1st place in Novice Prose

Nick Zimmers & Darren Valenta - 1st place in Open Duo

Chris Forrer - 4th place in Open ADS

Colin Jones - 2nd place in Open CA

Darren Valenta - 1st place in Open Prose

British-Parliamentary Debate

Kole Kracaw - 6th place speaker

Colin Jones - 1st place speaker

Kaitlyn Vannoy & Nick Zimmers - semifinalists
