Linfield Forensics Team Wins on East Coast

Six members of the Linfield Forensics Team just returned from a successful tournament at  Suffolk University in Boston where they won three first place awards. Teams from twelve schools in Oregon, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, and Maine competed in the competition, which featured eleven individual events as well as Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Linfield's awards included the following:

Chris Forrer - 1st place in After Dinner, 1st place in Program Oral Interp, 3rd place in Duo Interp

Stephanie Heuser - 4th place in Dramatic Interpretation, 5th place in Prose Interpretation

Colin Jones - 1st place in Rhetorical Criticism

Darren Valenta - 2nd place in Prose Interpretation

Nick Zimmers  - 3rd place in Poetry Interpretation

Rachel Mills - 3rd place in Duo Interpretation.

Linfield also won third place overall in team individual events sweepstakes.

The team heads to Lower Columbia College on November 6th for their next Norwest Forensics Conference tournament.
