Linfield Computer Labs are available for use by anyone with a current valid Linfield ID card. Students who need to use the labs for class assignments have priority over others; entertainment activities have the lowest priority. No food or drink is allowed in the labs.

General Use Computer Labs:
If help is needed during weekdays contact the Support Desk located in Mac Hall Room 106, ext. 2553, support@linfield.edu. If you are having problems with software/programs that are required for your class, please alert your professor as soon as possible.
Miller Fine Arts Center Mixed Lab: Located in the Miller Fine Arts Centeron the Keck Campus (near Nicholson Library). This lab contains 20 Windows operating system computers and a monochrome printer. This lab is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the academic semesters. Has To reserve the Miller Fine Arts Lab for instructional use, contact ITS Support.
Renshaw Computer Lab: Located in Renshaw Hall. The primary lab contains 26 dual boot computers that can run either Windows or Apple/Mac operating systems and has both monochrome and color printing. The mini-lab contains 6 Windows operating system computers and a monochorme printer (for color printing you will need to send to the primary lab). This lab is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the academic semesters. To reserve the Renshaw lab for instructional use, contact ITS Support.
Printing in the Public Computer Labs
Miller Fine Arts lab has a monochrome printer.
Renshaw Hall primary lab has a monochrome printer and a color printer.
Renshaw Hall mini-lab has a monochrome printer (color printing can
to be sent to the Renshaw Hall primary lab color printer).
Printing is tracked in public labs (and in Nicholson Library); users are charged for printing above an allotment of twenty-five dollars per academic year. Anything above this allotment will be billed to your student account. To check your printing allotment balance, go to Print Accounting.
If you are using a Macintosh:
You will need to login with a current CATNet ID to access printers.
It is IMPORTANT that you use the File > Print command to print. The default
printer should be displayed (check this BEFORE you hit Print) or you may choose
from the printer list.
Before leaving the lab you need to close all open programs and Log Out by going
to Apple menu > Restart
If you are using a Windows machine:
Use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to access the log on window. You will need to login with
a current CATNet ID to access printers.
It is IMPORTANT that you use the File > Print command to print. The default
printer should be displayed (check this BEFORE you hit Print) or you may choose
from the printer list.
Before leaving the lab you need toclose all open programs Log Off by going
to Start (bottom-left corner of screen) > Shut Down > Restart

Special Departmental Labs:
Several departments, including Music and Art, Communications, Education, Physics, and Chemistry provide specialized computer facilities for their students. Other departments have "mini-labs"; check with your professor for availability.
