If you are currently using Windows Vista you will
be unable to access your Samba Home (Z:Drive).
You will need to log into Windows XP with Java 1.5 or above which is available
in the Renshaw Lab or Nicholson Library.
Transferring from Samba (Z:Drive) to CATFiles |

Opening your Samba Home: 1. To get to Samba (if you don’t have a shortcut or a mapped drive):

2. In Open field type \\samba\home
NOTE: Samba (Z:Drive) is only accessible from on-campus. |

3. Your HOME on Samba window will appear. |

Open your CATFiles: 4. Open a web browser (IE or FireFox)

5. A CATFiles login dialog window will appear

6. Click on Launch Web Folder icon

6. Click on Upload icon
NOTE: If you do not have the correct Java version, click on the Java1.5 or higher link and it will take you to a Java Download Web page - follow the directions to download Java.

7. A CATFiles window will open.

8. If your Java is up to date, an Upload Files To: window appearrs (If you see a Digital Signature prompt appear, click on Run). 9.Go back to your Samba HOME window and select/highlight all the documents and folders you wish to transfer and Drag and Drop into the CatFiles Upload Files To window. 10. Click on Start Upload button

8. Go back to the CATFiles that you opened with IE or FireFox and you will see all of the transferred doc and folders.
