Outlook - Signature with a Graphic

To have an Outlook signature that includes a graphic to display the text and graphic side by side when viewed in Non-Oulook email programs, your need to create a ‘picture’ of this graphic and text signature.

Below are examples of how Outlook Email will display your signature (in Entourage) depending on how you create it.

Using Instructions/steps outlined within the Outlook Email program,
your signature will look like this for Entourage users.

1. Download the graphic (Sesquicentennial Logo Red or Purple) to your desktop .

2. Open a new Word document

3. Go to Insert -> Picture -> From Files -> find and select the logo and click on Insert button. You will see the logo appear on your Word doc.

4. Right click on image -> Format Picture -> Square & Right.

5. Type your Signature Information next to the logo (recommend using size 12 font)

6. Resize the logo to fit your information by clicking on logo and grabbing the bottom right corner handle

7. Select/highlight your signature and graphic (logo) and C'opy' it, then go to Edit menu -> Paste Special

8. Choose Picture (Windows Metafile) - you will now see a 'all in one/single signature picture' appear on your Word doc.

(following directions are for both 2003 & 2007)

9. Open up your Outlook

10. Go to Tools menu -> Options -> Mail Format tab -> Signature button.

11. Click New button and give your signature a name and click OK button.

12. Copy your 'single signature picture' from your Word document and paste it into the Edit Signature field.

13. Click OK button.

14. Click OK button again.

 

NOTE: If you would like to have this signature as your default for ALL new messages

  • (Outlook 2007) choose it from the drop down list for New Messages in the Choose Default Signature section located at the top right
  • (Outlook 2003) go back to Mail Format tab -> Signatures section and choose your default signature for new messages.
