A special note about your Student ID Card – You will need your ID Card to pick up your residence hall/on-campus apartment keys and to access your residence hall exterior doors, which are activated by swiping your ID card. You will need to go to Cozine Hall to the College Public Safety Office to have your ID card created. Please refer to the Campus Map link for the location of Cozine Hall. College Public Safety hours: Saturday, February 8th, 12:30-2:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 9th, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Student Accounts – The Student Accounts Office sends spring account statements in January and asks for arrangements to be completed for paying spring bills prior to orientation weekend. If you have questions about your bill or need to finalize paperwork, please visit Student Accounts on the first floor of Melrose Hall. Student Accounts hours: Saturday, February 8th, 12:30-2:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 9th, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Stop by Fred Meyer Lounge for Guidance and Directions – Riley Campus Center
To start your day off on the right foot, please stop by Fred Meyer Lounge in the Riley Campus Center. The transfer coordinator will welcome you to campus and provide you with maps, schedules, and other important materials.
1:30-2:30 p.m. – Residence Hall and On-Campus Apartment Check-In – Mahaffey Hall
Check in to your residence hall or on-campus apartment by coming to the Residence Life Office in Mahaffey (Be sure to have your Student ID Card before you check in). You will sign your housing contracts, get your room key, and meet your Linfield Peer Mentor. He or she will escort you to your residence hall/apartment, help with moving your belongings, offer directions to local shopping in case you need to purchase anything to complete your room arrangements, and meet up with you and your family to join you for dinner.
2:30-5:00 p.m. – Move in and settle in to residence hall or on-campus apartment.
5 p.m. – Welcome to Linfield and Dinner – Residential and Commuter students and families
You, your family, and your peer mentor will meet with Linfield staff and students. This will be an opportunity to ask questions about residential living, campus services, and to gather other information you may want to know about the college.
7:00 p.m. – Social event TBD
9:00 a.m. – Continental Breakfast for students and families – Riley Campus Center Mezzanine
10:00 a.m. – First Spring Connections Meeting (students and families) – Riley Campus Center Room 201
The Spring Connections program begins with academic programs and other information to help you get a great start at the college!
Noon – Lunch
1:00 p.m. – Campus Tour – includes opportunity to walk your class schedule with your peer mentor.
2:00-4:00 p.m. – Free time and goodbyes
4:00 p.m. – Spring Connections Meeting (students only) – Riley Campus Center Room 201
Continuation of the morning session for students, peer mentors, and transfer coordinator.
5:00 p.m. – Dinner
The Spring Connections program continues into the semester. While the meetings during Orientation weekend will be held in Riley 201, Spring Connections meetings during the semester will be held in T.J. Day Hall Room 222. Participation is mandatory unless indicated.
