Functional as it is beautiful, the Linfield athletic complex is the finest small-college facility of its kind in the Northwest.
The complex encompasses two gymnasiums, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, cavernous field house, racquetball courts, fitness facility and coaches' offices and meeting rooms. It also contains spacious locker rooms, an athletic training treatment center and an all-purpose room suitable for aerobics.
The complex houses the 3,200-square-foot Hal Smith Fitness Center, dedicated in honor of Smith, who coached football, cross country, wrestling and track over his 31-year career at Linfield.
In addition to a full selection of free-bar
and machine-driven weights, the fitness
center offers users several choices of cardiovascular equipment, including Stairmaster and Airdyne stationary exercise machines.
Racquetball enthusiasts enjoy the three sport courts, complete with observation decks.
The Paul Durham Foyer at the main entrance to the complex is home to the Linfield Athletics Hall of Fame.
