Hall of Fame and Hall of Champions
Supporters of Linfield College athletics are invited to attend a rededication ceremony of the Linfield Athletics Hall of Fame, located within the Paul Durham Foyer of the Linfield Health, Human Performance and Athletics Complex.
The rededication will take place at noon on Saturday, Sept. 8, prior to the Linfield football game at 1:30 p.m. Many past Hall of Fame inductees are among the dignitaries expected to attend. The general public is welcome.
Linfield president Dr. Thomas Hellie and director of athletics Scott Carnahan will speak. A detailed overview of the revamped space will be presented.
Honoring outstanding athletes, coaches, staff and contributors from the past, the Linfield Athletics Hall of Fame was recently redesigned to include two interactive touch-screen displays and dynamic floor-to-ceiling graphics that showcase great moments in Linfield sports history. National championship team trophies and other major awards serve as centerpieces within Paul Durham Foyer.
The combined presentation has been rebranded as the 'Linfield Athletics Hall of Fame and Hall of Champions.'
To date, the Linfield Athletics Hall of Fame has honored 113 individuals and eight teams. Eight more former athletes are due for induction this fall at the 16th annual Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, Nov. 10, in Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
National championship trophies surround the new Hall of Fame
