Initial List of Recruits
Linfield football coach Joseph Smith announced Wednesday the second wave of prospects to complete the application and acceptance process. The players listed below are expected to join the Wildcats in mid-August when training camp begins. Linfield opens the 2012 season at home Sept. 1 against Menlo College.
“Choosing the environment you are to immerse yourself in for four years is a serious decision and can take some time,” said Smith, reflecting on the significance of each recruit’s choice to attend Linfield. “This second group of young men is going to complete a recruiting class that will have the potential to rival our 2012 senior class that just graduated.
“This is a strong class in terms of its numerical size and overall depth. We also believe this Class of 2016 has over a dozen young men who have all-conference, all-region or All-America potential.
