SALEM, Ore. – Displaying Linfield’s prowess in the pole vault, Catherine Street and Misty Corwin placed first and second, respectively, at the West Coast Invitational, contested Saturday at Willamette’s Charles Bowles Track.
Street maxed out at 13 feet, 6¼ inches (4.12 meters) while Corwin cleared the bar at 11 feet, 8 inches (3.56m).
The two Wildcats bested the only other entry in the event, Katie Mariman of Willamette, who reached a height of 11 feet, 2¼ inches (3.41m).
Street and Corwin remain second and sixth, respectively, in the latest NCAA Division III performance list. The top 22 women receive invitations to the national championships, held May 24-26 in Claremont, Calif.
UP NEXT: The George Fox Final Qualifier Twilight, scheduled for Friday, May 18, presents the last opportunity for Linfield tracksters to qualify for the national meet.
